Kildare South Fine Gael TD Martin Heydon has today (Wednesday) welcomed the announcement by Tegral of 29 new jobs at its plant in Athy.
“Today’s announcement is a great boost to the town and is a huge vote of confidence in the Athy plant and the work of its employees. The investment of €1.5m by Tegral’s parent Company ETEX that will create the jobs should bring knock on benefits to the town and local economy.
I realize this is just a small step forward considering the job losses that have been experienced in the past, however it is a step in the right direction and a sign of further positive developments to come.”
