I have visited the school and met with principal Mairead O’Flynn regarding the flood alleviation works that are needed there following the previous flooding of the school grounds. Kildare County Council have submitted an application to the OPW for assistance with funding for this project and I am liaising with Minister Brian Hayes on that application.
I have also been in communication with the Parents Association who are concerned about road safety and congestion at the school particularly at busy drop off and pick up times. I have written to the area engineer and hope to meet her on site early in the New Year to follow up on this issue.
