It was a proud day for me as a past pupil of Crookstown National School when the first sod was turned to mark the commencement of construction for the new school on 25th March 2014.

This new school has been in the planning phases since before my time as a TD and it was one of my main aims to see it progress under this Government.  The state of the art 20 room school will accommodate up to 600 pupils and is hoped to be completed in time for September 2015.

Many obstacles have been overcome to get us to this point and I would like to complement the Board of Management led by David O’Grady, School principal Nuala Costello and our parish priest Fr. Frank McEvoy on their hard work and commitment to the project.
