Fine Gael Kildare South TD Martin Heydon has today (Friday) wished his constituency colleague Jack Wall and his family well on the announcement that he is to retire from public office and not seek re-election at the next General election

“As a new politician learning my trade in my first Dail term, Jack was always available for advice and support. As Government colleagues we worked together on a number of projects for the betterment of Kildare South, especially in re-activating the Southern Distributor Route for Athy with the confirmation and commitment of Government funding for the road in May 2014.

“Not only has Jack represented Kildare as an Oireachtas member for over 20 years, he has also had a lifetime’s contribution to Kildare GAA as both a player and an officer which will be long remembered.

“I want to wish Jack a long, happy and well deserved retirement with his family Sinead, Mark, John, Catherine and his beloved Grandchildren.
