Kildare South Fine Gael TD Martin Heydon has said that after the upset and confusion caused by the sudden closure of 3 childcare facilities in Athy last week, he was delighted to see progress has been made with 2 of the facilities re-opened this morning. He was speaking after visiting the new Shining Stars Academy in the Coneyboro this morning.
“The closure of the Footsteps facilities last week was a huge shock to staff parents and children who use the facilities in Athy. I am delighted to see how much progress can be made in a short period of time to re-instate 2 of the centres this morning.
“I was delighted to meet management and children at Shining Stars Academy this morning in Coneyboro to wish them well in their new endeavor and offer my assistance and support.
