IN CONJUNCTION WITH CLLR IVAN KEATLEY
I am writing to advise you on progress and the status of the proposal within Kildare County Council to build a playground in Castledermot.
It has been confirmed to us that Kildare County Council intend to go to tender for proposals to design and build the playground either before Christmas or very early in 2016. Once a design has been selected, they will then proceed to the Part 8 process to seek planning permission.
Council Funding of €170k from the following sources has been ringfenced for the purposes of the playground:
2015 Capital Budget €100,000
2016 Capital Budget € 50,000
2015 Local Property Tax Fund € 10,000
2016 Local Property Tax Fund € 10,000
This in conjunction with what has been raised by the local committee should be sufficient to substantially complete the playground.
