Fine Gael TD for Kildare South and Chairman of the Parliamentary Party, Martin Heydon, has welcomed news he received on foot of a Parliamentary Question that funding for a new endoscopy unit, physical medicine unit, oncology unit and day procedure department at Naas General Hospital is included in the HSE’s 2018-2022 Capital Programme.
Deputy Heydon said: “This is a significant development for the people of Kildare as progress is made on new developments in their general hospital.
“I have fought for the endoscopy unit in Naas General Hospital for a number of years and I will continue to push for the scheduling of capital funding to get this development to tender as soon as possible.”
