Fine Gael TD for Kildare South and Chairman of the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party, Martin Heydon, has criticised Bus Eireann on the manner and nature of their announcement regarding the 126N Nightrider service.  The service runs from Dublin to Newbridge via Naas at 00.30am and 3.30am on Friday and Saturday nights.

“The nature of the announcement on social media just as we are heading into the busy Christmas period caused confusion and concern for many commuters who rely on the service to get home after events in the city.

Deputy Heydon raised this in the Dail with Minister Ross highlighting the concerns that has been raised due to the announcement.

“I am pleased that the National Transport Authority (NTA) have stepped in to ensure that the service will continue to the end of the year at least, meaning it will run over the next few busy weeks.

“Having heard from many constituents this week who use the service I will be highlighting its popularity to the NTA and working to ensure that a late night service at weekends continues for the people of Newbridge.
