Many of these supports are already available but this ‘one-stop shop’, launched by my colleague Minister Simon Harris now brings them all together in a simple and easy to navigate online portal.
It is aimed at many different audiences, people who may be unemployed as a result of the pandemic, businesses who need to upskill their employees or young people who can’t travel or work at present.
In launching the new site, my colleague Simon Harris TD, Minister for Further and Higher Education said “The Covid-19 pandemic has forced us to confront many of the skills shortages we have. We must ensure our people have access to the skills they need to succeed in life; and Irish business has the people with the skills they need to grow. This is also critical to securing our recovery and ensuring Ireland’s people share in that recovery. It’s never too late to learn something new.”
