Minister Martin Heydon TD for Kildare South, today welcomed the announcement of his colleague Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, TD, that €35,053.13 in funding is to be allocated to County Kildare through The Social Enterprise Capital Grants Scheme 2021.

“The services that social enterprises provide in our communities is invaluable and I am delighted that this work will continue to receive much needed support through The Social Enterprise Capital Grants Scheme 2021. This scheme will provide funding for the purchase of equipment or the carrying out of repairs or refurbishments to enable social enterprises to improve their service delivery said

The Social Enterprise Capital Grants Scheme 2021 will be administered by Local Community Development Committees (LCDCs) in each Local Authority area and details on how to apply will be available from each LCDC shortly.

“The award today of €35,053.13 for County Kildare underscores one of the key commitments in the National Social Enterprise Policy for Ireland 2019-2022 – “Growing and Strengthening Social Enterprise” and I will continue to work with the many social enterprise groups across County Kildare, who primarily work to improve the lives of people, to help them avail of this grant, Minister Heydon said.”
