Minister Martin Heydon TD for Kildare South welcomed the confirmation that construction of 12 new classrooms have been approved for Scoil Mhicil Naofa, Athy. In addition to the 12 new classrooms, refurbishment of the existing classrooms has also been confirmed and this will bring a total of new and refurbished classrooms to 28, a great boost for the school and the locality.
Working with all schools in South Kildare I will continue to raise my concerns regarding the lack of school places throughout County Kildare with the Department of Education to address the serious shortage of school places in South Kildare.
