The long awaited Part 8 Planning Process for the redevelopment of the Square in Kilcullen will be launched for Public Consultation by the end of November according to Minister Martin Heydon TD for Kildare South.

“Having been involved in this project from the start when we secured €200,000 Government funding from the Town and Village Renewal Scheme, I am delighted that we have finally reached this key milestone to progress to redevelop the Market Square in Kilcullen. The Part 8 process will go out for public consultation and it is important that everyone feeds into this process and has their say into the final design that will shape the look and function of the plans for Kilcullen square” Minister Heydon said.

“Congratulations to Kilcullen Community Action and the Public Realm team in Kildare County Council for their commitment to delivering this project for Kilcullen. It will be great to see the opportunities that this development will bring to the town of Kilcullen and it is a real benefit for any town to have a central location where people can meet and the Square in Kilcullen lends itself perfectly to this use” concluded Minister Heydon.
