Minister Martin Heydon TD for Kildare South has officially opened the new Racehorse Experience at Kildare’s National Stud.
“It was a huge honour for me as Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture to officially open the €3.3m Irish Racehorse Experience at the Irish National Stud. This fantastic facility is a great addition to our tourism attractions in Kildare that will be at the heart of the new Thorougbred Country strategy which was also launched recently at the stud.
“I acknowledge the supportive role of Failte Ireland with €1.9m funding towards this project.
“It was great to see the amazing experience now up and running less than 3 years since I joined my colleague then Tourism Minister Brendan Griffin in turning the sod, in early 2019.
“I highly recommend it as a fascinating visit and family day out and a powerful addition to our National Stud in Kildare”, concluded Minister Heydon.
