Kildare South Fine Gael TD and Minister of State Martin Heydon has welcomed confirmation from the Department of Education that Suncroft NS has been approved for an additional special education classroom and light touches for a sensory room.
“The new room will be created through the reconfiguration of existing space to accommodate a class for students with special educational needs.
“I would like to commend the principal Breeda Kane and the Board of Management for seeking the space to expand their services at the school. This will be a great boost to many families in the area who are keen that their children would attend school locally but who may have additional educational needs.
“I look forward to working with the principal and the Board of Management to assist with this project as it progresses”, concluded Minster Heydon.
